Has Stuttering given you a 6th sense about people? Stuttering is something that I do not wish on anyone. Even if you have other family members who stutter mom/father/grandparent. Even when they should relate to what you're going through, sometimes they are against you. That's another topic I may go into later. Being a Stutter'r has given me more heartache than anything else. However it's given me a super power as well. I have endless examples of when I've told people that a particular person is a scumbag and can not be trusted. Every time, a year or so later they do something that shocks everyone and I'm like I told ya so!! But at the same time everyone says You didn't tell us s°☆t, because so much time has passed for them and they forgot but you saw it all along. I know who someone is the first time I meet them. I shake their hand, say my name and somewhere in that first sentence or so I will stutter. If they smirk or look away and laugh a little that says everything I need to know about them. When first meeting someone and after I stutter, they straighten up and let me talk, I understand that they understand my situation. I'll know that they know and for them to continue asking me questions it's a sign of respect and they are also considerate of others. I give most the benefit of doubt as well because let's be honest sometimes Stuttering is funny and it can be a curveball to most. But there's an unexplainable way of knowing the difference. I'd just like to know if there's others that immediately know someone is a scumbag.
