First let’s acknowledge that a stutter can range from being occasional repetitions that have no impact on your functioning - to secondary traits that make almost all verbal interaction painful enough to try to avoid. Most of my family, synagogue, youth group, college Hillel, Birthright trip, and one whole job (teacher at Jewish day school) were Ashkenazi Jews. Of those hundreds of people with whom ive spent days/months/years, only one other had a noticeable, impactful stutter.
