New friend with a stutter

New friend with a stutter Hey everyone! I’ve just recently met up with a friend that I’ve met on ig for a while now , and it turns out he has a stuttering issue and honestly I’ve never encountered someone with this problem before so I guess I’m asking about how I’m supposed to proceed with the whole thing and be helpful in any way. For example when he’s stuck at some word should I say it for him ? (I did it once and he went ‘yes!thank you, that) Or should I just nod and smile at him or just stay quiet and let him do his thing ? Ps: I hope i didn’t come off as disrespectful in any way I’m really just trying to know how to act with him
