Great answer, and I said something similar too. Stuttering is a neurological condition caused by a deficit in the timing cues of the Basal Ganglia (and possibly other speech production control areas of the brain). And for severe stutterers, it definitely is a disability. I myself am a severe stutterer (as in stuck on a single syllable for 30 seconds, for each syllable in every word, 100% of the time). I’m pretty much mute and my life is hell.
