I think what people have been trying to tell you is that you can stutter and have a good life. My husband stutters severely and I know it makes a lot of things hard for him, and that sucks. But he has some good friends, a job he enjoys, hobbies he likes doing, things he likes learning about, a wife (me!) who loves him, a baby on the way, a church he belongs to (where people really like him), and lots of other good things in his life. You can stutter and have a happy, full life.
