My dh had this same kinda guilt and fear. Normally males have a higher chance of stuttering. Truly sad watching my husband’s face when we found out we were having a son many years ago. Yes my son stuttered. He even qualified for a disability waiver in 2nd grade. He went to some speech therapy sessions the school offered. He grew out of it within 2-3 years and no longer stutters. He just mumbled now as a teenager.
