Trouble with the letter D Hello! I am 17 years old and I’ve struggled with stuttering basically my whole life, but mainly during my teen years. I’ve been working to change my mindset about stuttering and not obsess over it, but I have one problem that really bothers me. I have a very long Russian last name that is hard to pronounce, so when telling people my name I usually have to spell it out. It starts with a D, and for some reason I cannot say the letter D for the life of me. I usually tense up and have a hard time getting it out, so it usually comes across as a T. It’s really frustrating to have such trouble when trying to spell out my own last name, especially since I have to do it so often. Does anyone have any tips for how to improve my pronunciation of the letter D? Thanks so much!
