I joined about one and a half years ago. Joined the Bundeswehr Heer basically the equivalent to your US Army. Although I do have to say my stutter isn't as bad, it is hard communicating with others under stress and I often get weird looks from my superiors. BUT when I joined I was amazed by the support of my comrades. Nobody insulted me, bullied me, looked down on me. They even helped me get more comfortable with my speech. In the end you are just like the others
