I wasn't really refering to his forgeting of words or changing of words and sentences. I was refering to his awkward body movements(not facial).His forgeting that a person was deceased. Statements of his that contradict previous statements or positions of his or his government. I fully understand how stuttering works i'm 35 and have had a stutter since i was a child, during my childhood, teens and early 20's i was a covert stutterer so i used alot of the techniques and examples you mentioned. Imo it seems like his stutter is being used as a device by stutterers and non stutters alike to dismiss his obvious mental decline. Imo in Joes case the majority of his behavior has only a small bit to do with his stutter. I'm fully on board with you in regards to the anger you feel towards people who mock and ridicule people with stutters. Just like you i get pissed off when people mock stutterers or stuttering but i also get pissed off when a persons obvious mental decline is attributed solely to his stuttering. I have also lived in a household and taken care of a family member suffering from alzheimers disease. Thats why i said i believe its both, with his stutter being much less of a factor imo.
