I feel like we need to get the idea of finding a cure out of our heads. I had a fairly severe stutter for a good chunk of my life & the ONLY thing that has allowed me to consistently improve my fluency has been putting myself outside of my comfort zone. I've been at a point for quite a few years now (I'm 29) where I'm completely comfortable with the fact that I stutter. I don't feel like it can prevent me from doing anything, hell, I'm a drill sergeant in the USAF. I wouldn't be in this position or have this much confidence in myself if I kept avoiding uncomfortable situations while trying to wait out for a cure.
