I believe the most useful thing to realize is that your stutter just doesn't get worse for no reason. Your stutter will get worse depending on the amount of tension in your body. There's many things that equate to you storing and holding onto more tension. Usually it's repressed emotion. "Bad stuttering episodes" and procrastinating/avoiding/distraction are usually paired up, this is because procrastinating/avoiding/distraction is also a response to repressed emotions. Have you recently been going through what most people would view as an emotional time but you seemed to cope relatively fine or like it didn't bother you? (When it really actually did/does bother you) This could be a sign that you have submerged certain emotions inside of yourself and these specific emotions never got to raise to the run their course. It could also be many other reasons you have been repressing certain emotions, I just thought I'd ask about this way since I'm guessing you don't have any obvious huge shifts in your life happening.
