That's not acceptance though, that's merely acknowledging stuttering. I thought the same thing too until I met people who truly did accept their stuttering. Then I learned that simply stuttering in front of other people and showing it was not the same as being ok with it because I still wanted it to be less *ugly* or more *comfortable*. I'm now trying to own my stutter and show it when I talk, not simply have it come out because it's too out of control for me to reign it in.
