Hi! I am a 21 year old lady with a stutter. Introducing myself and saying my name have always been a challenge. People always laugh and think I forgot who I am... that’s not the case at all. I know exactly who I am and what I am going to say. But the pressure and judgement of other people like that, adds more pressure to make sure I say my name fluently. Which always starts with B-B-B. I am a huge fan of speech therapy, it has always been beneficial to have a place where I can really practice and work on it with a guide who has knowledge on speech impediments. They give you techniques and ways to help your name become less of an obstacle. But I feel you, stuttering on your own name can be so discouraging.
