Not for me, at the age of I think 9, a woman sat me down and said "You're going to have this your whole life. There's no fixing it" it felt like a punch to the gut. I just gave up. I guess I'm a bit better now, I use to be stutter so bad I was basically mute. Now when I talk I just go "I uh, I uh, I uh, I uh" or "uh, uh, uh, uh, uh" or "um uh, um uh, um uh, um uh" I was always told I'd grow out of it. I'm 17 now, and i can't talk that good. I can talk, but I stutter so bad a simple sentence like "Dad made hamburgers" can take me minutes to say. I hate my stutter.
