Same boat and agree; I think it's a good way to force yourself to change and take action on your stutter. If I had a job that required very minimal speaking I'd probably get complacent and not put in the effort to work on my speech. Started as an engineer out of college but now a team lead for a rocket company. I stutter at work all the time but nobody cares; they're more focused on the content than how it's delivered.
