Can you ask your speech therapist to walk with you outside during therapy and simulate difficult situations? Part of speech therapy can include ordering a coffee and dealing with real life situations. As a parent I love meeting doctors who have visible issues because that means they have been where we are. They don’t judge but have true empathy for what we’re going through. IMO the best speech therapist has a stutter because they get it. There are things about yourself that you can’t change. Find a way to embrace it and turn your vulnerability into your strength.
