The first airplane was only 120-years ago. Penicillin 93-years ago. Nuclear power 67-years ago. Look at the gains in those areas in a short time. Science is ever evolving. Quite a bit of research and science in combing speech and language has happened in 100-years. Is the point of your post saying you are sad because you expected more research in speech-language? Not fully understanding.
