I don't understand how everyone in this thread is so delusional. Of course it's not in your head; it's weird and awkward as fuck seeing someone stutter. It's embarrassing for everyone involved, and will always be a significant barrier in your social life, the ways other perceive you and obviously your physical attractiveness. Pretending that it's not true is just retarded, it's not going to change anything. I think the important thing to realise is that everyone has their challenges, and unfortunately this is yours. Everyone has flaws, insecurities and unattractive features. Yours is just a lot more visible that others. This is our cross to bear; could be worse, could be better, but this is *ours*. You'll probably have a lower standard of living over someone who's fluent, but a better one than someone who is blind or is deformed and looks like a freak, shit like that. I found peace when I just kinda accepted that it is what it is. You can either sit and whine about it all day long or you can go and make the most of what you have despite it. Stop telling him it's in his head though. That makes no sense, is completely retarded, and minimises and invalidates his (and everyone else's) very real experiences.
