I studied in a boys school and I met a girl on my very first day of college and she wasn't even in the same department and we were together for five years. She didn't even know that I had a stutter till I told her. She had awareness about stuttering people because she had watched a motivational comedy movie about stuttering in our native language. She was very kind and things went smoothly like any other relationship. In my opinion, you just have to keep improving till you're able to convey your thoughts and feelings to those close to you. My stutter is at its worst only during speeches or interviews.
