41, stutterer, a father, and MMJ card holder. I went through all the same. One of the things that helped me the most was being on a very low dose of Benzodiazipines (Ativan/Xanax/etc). At 8, he may be too young but I started around 12 and continued until just a few years ago. It definitely isn't a cure all - but might be something worthwhile to talk to your doctor about. It is interesting that you're looking at CBD. Might be worth a try. However, I've been using THC/CBD for years and don't find a difference when it comes to fluency.
