I started my summer job at 16 and jumped into customer service at a beach cafe. I was able to learn and train my brain on what I was going to say to people. a lot of the time, I was on till so I found my go to phases that worked with 90% of the customers. My confidence grew from there, which started with a moderate stutter. I only noticed a year or so later how much the frequency of my stutters had decreased. i must have been putting myself out there the face it head on. 20 years on I've been in a management position for 7 years overseeing 20 employees. Yeah I still stutter but it's only 6-10 max times a week and even then it's a silent sort of tic before I say something but will use a different word to dtar and I'm all good. In short, don't let it hold you back.
