I'm in the same boat. My stutter is really bad and I don't have a social life and my career is suffering. Did you try telling your uni lecturers about your stutter? Most of them will understand and make arrangements. As for the stutter, the best thing you can do is practice talking. Talk even though you stutter. Eventually, it gets easier and you gain fluency. But its important to not stop talking. Then the stutter will gain power. The more you avoid something, the harder it becomes to face it.
