Stuttering and self confidence 19,F Imma keep it short. I used to stutter as a child, sorta got over it when i was 9-10. I was not put into any speech therapy or any thing, but my mom did send me to a small kids drama class for a couple of months. My stutter as a child wasnt that bad tbh, but it was noticeable. I stuttered very less in the subsequent years, only when i was either too nervous or too excited. Just gonna add here that during my school days i did a lot of comparing and i was fairly active in MUNs and such 'speaking' activities so i had thought i was over my stutter. Then lockdown happened yada yada 2-3 years of literally no social interaction because i have strict parents. Im in college now and i have started stuttering again. Nobody makes fun of me yet, but i have noticed that people kind of slow down to talk wi me, like how you would with a toddler. I cannot even raise my hand to speak in class because i know i will stutter. Its getting embarrassing. My mom has also told me that she noticed that i have started stuttering again. I used to be a confident speaker before and now im losing that and idk what sort of person im becoming. I am already introverted, and the stuttering is not helping me get any confidence at all. Pls suggest some youtube videos or something that you think are good. Or any articles or reddit posts. Thank you.
