I literally relate to you so hard. As soon as people got to that stage of their childhood that they were assholes, I became “the stupid kid.” My stutter gets drastically worse when I read, so that just enforces the idea. The worst part is that when they make fun of it and imitate it they think I’m too stupid to realize. The only people I can talk to are my friends and they don’t get it. We all know what you are feeling, know that you just have to push through it. At least that’s what I’m trying. It’s good that you spoke up for yourself. I need to try that more. When people finish my sentences and think that they are “helping” is horrible too.
