I get the same thing usually. I feel like people will either ask you about it themselves without you having to bring it up, or they'll be made uncomfortable by you talking about it. People like to listen to others vent about things they can relate to. The friends you're talking to about this do not have stutters, so they cannot relate to your problems, and therefore do not care to listen. They may also be guilty of some of the things you are venting about, and feel awkward. Or, they don't want to potentially offend you by asking questions. Or, you talking about it makes them uncomfortable. There's lots of possibilities why they wouldn't engage. None of the friends I vent to about this stutter. Some of them will be listening, nodding along as I say stuff, and express annoyance or surprise at some things I vent about. They don't usually ask me anything either. Again, I feel like this is because they're either just not interested because they don't relate, or they don't want to risk offending me.
