Everyone is different. When people ask for my name, I can't just say [name] right away. I have to say "my name is" in order to be able to say my name. For example: Person: what's your name? Me: my name is [name] If I don't say the words "my name is", then I'll stutter on my name. But like I said, everyone is different. This is what works for me.
