Her main focus is being comfortable expressing herself. I like her SLP a lot because her focus is the same. We don't whisper about stuttering. It's just a thing. She knows she has a choice to try to work through the stutter or just give in to it if she is tired or just doesn't wish to struggle. We absolutely take the " some people don't know what stuttering is" route. I think she just hates that empty space when she is struggling to answer their question and the people either rush her or move on along their way. I think most people are kind. If they know you need a little extra time they will give it you.
