Possible toddler stutter First and foremost, please forgive my ignorance as I’ve not had to deal with this before and I’m genuinely trying to learn. Within the last month I’ve noticed my 3 year old starting to stutter. It started off primarily with the word “I” but has progressed into more words with more frequency. Sometimes the word will only be repeated 3-4 times and other times more like 7-10+. I have asked daycare to keep an eye out for it, they swear they don’t hear it. At all. My husband says he is only vaguely aware of it but doesn’t notice any frequency. My teenager hears it some but I’m the only one that seems to notice it with any regularity. She is known to not talk much especially around new people. She’s more likely to just point to what she needs/wants. Is it possible that since she’s still so young she’s just trying to process what she’s saying. Could it be that I’m the one she’s most comfortable with so the stutter is more prominent with me? I’ve been debating looking into a speech therapist but being the only one to seemingly notice it, I feel like I’m crazy or just imagining it.
