10 year old - sudden reoccurrence My son began stuttering at age 4. He had huge blocks and would often show signs of distress and anguish while the stuttering occurred. They were whole word stutters. He was in speech therapy for 2 years using the Lidcomb Method & at age 6 the stutter virtually disappeared. Now suddenly at age 10 it has randomly reappeared for the last 6 months. It is getting progressively worse. I’m not sure how to proceed. There seems to be no SLP in my area that treats kids his age for stuttering. Will the stutter go away? Why did it come back? He is having issues w friends at school, so perhaps there is an emotional aspect to it. He is also very anxious by nature. What can I do to help him at home and has anyone had experience w this? We don’t rush him and we try not to point it out but other than that I am at a loss.
