I’m not going to diminish how you’re feeling because your feelings are valid. But I’ll give my son’s experience. 15 years old and a very significant stutter. He will occasionally get through a few sentences without stammering but it’s rare. He is popular and has lots of friends and I think it’s because of his attitude. He does not give a shit what anyone thinks of him and is generally positive in every situation. He’s funny. He smiles. The fact that he stutters (and is overweight) doesn’t matter because he doesn’t highlight those aspects of himself. I don’t know... he just puts himself out there and people can take it or leave it.
