i used to say a different name when it happened & it did not bother me because it was like once or twice every 6 months. however, one time i was at raising cane’s placing my favorite box & i just couldnt get my name out so i gave the first name that could come out. right after i sat at a table, 5 of my friends (well classmates) entered, ordered & sat next to me. what was fucked up was that one of them had the same name i had given. they laughed so hard i could still hear it when i went to get my food. i think that day’s changed me forever & i doubt that i’ll be able to overcome the pain it caused. they just made too many fucking jokes man, it’s been like 8 years and it still hurts as much.
