When I'm at a bar, and I get approached, I always give my middle name. My first name is too difficult to say, and if I attempted it they would either think I'm drunk or stupid, so I just avoid it all together. That becomes a problem when one of my friends refer to me by the my first name, and the guy I was talking to now thinks I'm trying to blow him off. So I usually end up saying something like "It's ..., I go by my middle name" or something of the sort.
