I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that almost all stutterers either avoid words/letters, avoid situations or have so fundamentally altered their life that they don’t even know that they are/not doing doing certain things. This is hiding… unfortunately. I do it, almost all of us do it because not being able to speak in front of people causes shame.
