Hey good to hear from you. I don't have specifics but these might be good places to start: [https://www.stutteringhelp.org/differences-brains-people-who-stutter#:\~:text=In%20people%20who%20stutter%2C%20diffusion,people%20who%20are%20normally%20fluent](https://www.stutteringhelp.org/differences-brains-people-who-stutter#:~:text=In%20people%20who%20stutter%2C%20diffusion,people%20who%20are%20normally%20fluent). [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11468304/](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11468304/) When you say trauma, are you thinking of psychological trauma or some physical trauma like a head injury? It's my understanding that developmental speech impediments largely come from brain biology rather than psychological trauma. (my Mom used to worry if my parent's divorce 'caused' my own stutter, but I've tried to reassure her I don't think that's the case).
