Honestly it was really hard to get to where I am with it. I was really afraid of speaking over an intercom and I finally got through that, but I was on the verge of tears over it. A lot of the things I have to say are super repetitive and I’ve said them for so long they’re not so bad to say, even tho I’m very aware that practice doesn’t necessarily prevent a stutter recurrence at all. And most of the time it’s just short conversations with easy answers or they need transferred to someone else. And if I do stumble and they act condescending over the phone I sometimes tell them I have a stutter, but then they feel really bad and try to give me an cute little anecdote and that’s also a little annoying. But overall, thankfully I’ve been saying the same customer service lines for so long and the conversation is usually just generic short answer stuff.
