Yeah, I have talked with my teachers about it, even together with my parents, so sometimes they let me do oral presentations just for them without the eyes of the class stressing me out. But when i stutter in class they always seem to think finishing my sentence is the right thing to do. I sure do get relief for the moment but leave the class with a feeling of anxiety. I have actually never told them to not finish my sentences though because I am scared that if I ever get caught in a block and can’t get out I’ll just sit there in front of the class and embarrass myself to the point of which I just dismiss what I was about to say and say that I got a blackout or something. Regarding switching out words for synonyms, I usually do that when I am for example speaking casually with my friends and get a small block but when I am in class and get a really bad block I can’t say the synonyms either. Some words (especially when speaking about a specific subject class) aren’t even replaceable. But thanks for the advice anyways. I think I just need to get over my fear of getting a block because that is often what triggers me getting one. Obviously a lot easier said than done (If even possible durng my school time). Anyways thanks for the response. I’d like to discuss any stuttering issues you might have too. Thanks for trying to help.
