It's unrealistic to not consider severe stuttering as a serious issue , it's not only affecting your social life but also your career and making a living. And you are totally doomed if you are in a third world country (like me) , fluent people already bloody fighting for a good living , me as unprivileged (Poor financial situation) severe stutterer I can't see any vision of my future at all. It's a serious issue for me because people look down on me immediately when I stutter and it's obvious when you see their reaction , they assume that I am mentally unstable, crazy or I am deaf. Let's be totally honest , I wouldn't hire someone like me can't communicate with people, crumbling my business for a little sympathy is unrealistic. Especially when communication is critical in my society and there isn't a single job here that have no mandatory communication, rendering me useless. Positive attitude is nice but be careful with your phrasing, it can be mistaken as downplaying their issue.
