So to make up for your stutter, you excelled in other areas? I am the same way. I'm an intelligent person too who has many talents. I was employee of the month at a few of my recent jobs. When I was in school, I made the Dean's List several times. Artistically, I'm very creative and am a great problem solver as well. All these things about me are great. I just wish one of my talents included talking well. It's the first thing people hear and yes if they can get past that, then they can see other qualities. Some people just simply can't get past the stutter. You could say these people are assholes and I don't have to bother with them. When you are in a work environment though, you have no choice. Your coworkers are your coworkers. You can't change that if you wanna keep your job. Regarding the stories: I do think some are legit and some are fake. I have spoken to people who have this freeing mentality about their speech. Those people are not fake. They really have let-go. I do agree that these people could say they like their stutter but I don't believe that. I don't think anybody really likes their stutter. If people could change it, they would. I know I would.
