I have stuttered for about five years. I do stutter semi-heavily, but life is doable. IMO, a speech therapist hasn't really been my cure, although the one I had gave me some techniques to bypass the stutter. I read online somewhere that stuttering contrary to belief is medical. There are medicines that can help, but I don't think it's necessary.
