Thanks for the detailed response. I know I had trouble with pronouncing words as a kid but had "grown out of it" by age 6. I suppose I do often repeat words when talking, usually the filler words like "and" or "the" or usually a word before I get to the end of the sentence. But I never take much notice of it. I think the type of stammering where I have to push the word out is just more noticeable to me because it isn't something I remember ever doing before. But as you said I could have had a stammer that went under my own radar (such as repeating filler words) and went unnoticed as it is just part of my regular speech. I definitely felt that when I noticed I was struggling to say the first sound/letter of the word or making the sound for longer than normal I had a feeling it must be stress induced. I will definitely keep an eye and see if it improves depending on my stress and the situation. Overall it is not something that has interfered with my life in any significant way but I suppose it makes me more self conscious in conversation and another stress induced consequence of what occurred. I posted with genuine interest and I hope it doesn't come across as "poor me". I really appreciate your insight. Have a good day
