Do what feels right for you. I was put in speech therapy at around the same age and hated it. I was made to feel my stutter was something I needed to hide. It was deeply traumatizing for me because I didn’t care my speech was different at a young age. It wasn’t until I was older that I realized I was targeted by bullies was because of my stutter. I wish my parents would have asked me what I wanted. I talk about this with my mom on my podcast in case it is helpful: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/proud-stutter/id1588336626?i=1000542470244
