Hi! I stutter and just like the majority of people who stutter, I have a hard time saying my name. There is time pressure, the fact that we can't word substitute, and we want to make a good impression (whew!). I used to change my name because I couldn't say my own name, but that just left me feeling even more embarrassed and let me to try to avoid the person for the rest of my life basically. To be honest, it's best to just go for it and say it, stuttering on every sound if you have to. In my experience it was best to just rip the band-aid off quickly so to speak, so that people found out I stuttered early on. That was a huge stress relief as I then felt comfortable stuttering from then on. The truth is, people really won't give it a second thought. They're at work, working on their own projects, they won't care whether or not the new person stutters. Best of luck to you!
