I might be the one you meant. Yes, I did meet with him. He explained that everyone’s psychophysiology is unique. He said there are differences even in which regions of the brain might have too much or too little of a specific neurotransmitter. He recommends specific medications for each individual depending on their medical history. I'm acquainted with one of his patients who even had a genetic test to determine the efficacy of a particular medication. As for Dr. Maguire himself, he said he doesn't self-prescribe and I have no idea what medication He uses. I do know he returns to stuttering when he takes short breaks from his prescription.
