Sometimes letting yourself stutter does wonders. Our stutter usually gets worse when we're anticipating it and we're doing everything to stop stuttering. This can create tension, and ironically this makes our stutter worse. So, whenever I fee tense, or feel the need to 'appear' fluent, I use these 2 strategies: 1) I welcome my stuttering, stop resisting it, and stutter freely. 2) voluntarily stutter on some key words that I normally have difficulty saying. I've realized that if I stutter freely and more confidently, this puts my audience at ease, and they do not react to my stutter as they would if I was anxious and struggling. Most people do not give shit about whether you stutter or not. They react negatively if you seem anxious and apprehensive.
