Happens to me. Your solution to use your initials is similar to my work around. I normally go by my nickname, like Rob for Robert. When I introduce myself, I can’t always get Rob out but I can get out Robert no problem, so I started introducing myself as Robert to new people. They don’t know me, so to them I am Robert. It also helps when I introduce myself with a longer sentence and push it all together into one big word. “HellomynameisRob” instead of just saying my name.
