Posting of research about stuttering. Is it disallowed?

Posting of research about stuttering. Is it disallowed? I saw a post that mentioned posts that deal with research on stuttering is not allowed is this forum. Did i misread that? If research posts are not allowed, could someone provide some feedback as to the reason? Just curious. Thx
