Had a phone interview on Thursday - actually went okay Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a positive experience I had while being interviewed on the phone this week. This is big for me as I've struggled badly in the past with phone interviews as I find them much more challenging in terms of my dysfluency as compared to video calls or in-person interviews. I've had two phone interviews where I was blocking so badly that I had to just end the call. It sucked. But this week, it went well with regards to my fluency. I disclosed early and the interviewer was understanding and seemed to listen to me during the interview. I obviously was dysfluent and stuttered/blocked often, but my anxiety during the call was caused by trying to answer the questions the best I could, and not by my dysfluency. I just wanted to share because it was literally my first good experience with phone interviewing.
