Apprehensive about getting my first job, any advice?

Apprehensive about getting my first job, any advice? So over the summer, I want to get my first job (retail), but I am concerned about the company not hiring me because I stutter a lot with people I don't know, and I can't really talk on a phone because I just get stuck in a block I can't get out of. Can anyone share their experiences with employers and how you cope with your stuttering?
