20 going on 21 here so similar in age. i have always had a stutter since i could speak. it’s noticeable but fortunately it was never something i considered debilitating. i’ve been able to live a mostly normal life and i’ve been able to successfully hold down jobs and relationships. the most important thing that helped me was exposure to the real world, it’s harsh and not everyone is out there to be your friend but we all have to do it. working customer service jobs has definitely helped me put my strategies into practice, tweaking them every once in a while. now, on good days, it just sounds like i stumble on my words just like everyone else does; and that’s what i write it off as in my head. we live in a society where differences are accepted and embraced more than ever. if this were as little as 50-60 years ago, i feel like i would be reduced to only succeeding in entertainment as some sort of freak. remember that everybody has stuttering moments, nobody is perfect computer :) any clarifying questions are more than welcome!
