I have a master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and when I wasn't being hired after bombing all those interviews, I asked myself, have I done everything that I can to secure that job?? So what I did was send out Thank you letters, thank you emails, and one day a recruiter who told me I wasn't hired emailed me to offer another position within the organization with the hopes of transferring to the actual job that I wanted. The cool part is that I loved the position so much that I stayed and it's been 14 years now in that position.
